School Registration

Registration for the 2020-2021 school year for all Seattle Public Schools begins January 6, 2020. All new student registration is completed online through the Seattle Public School’s website (Enroll here).

There will be a school registration event to get help with online registration, learn how to help your child transition smoothly, and much more. Interpreters will be available.

MLK Elementary School Tours

Are you a prospective parent interested in learning more about the school? Sign up for a tour of the school. Contact the school’s main office at 206-252-6770 to sign up for one of the following tours:

• January 13, 2020 – 9 a.m.
• January 13, 2020 – at 5 p.m.
• January 27, 2020 – at 9 a.m.
• February 3, 2020 – at 9 a.m.
• February 3, 2020 – at 5 p.m.
• February 10, 2020 – 9 a.m.

Jump Start

Jump Start is a FREE week-long experience for kindergartners to learn about their new school. During the experience, children become familiar with their school building, staff, typical school day activities and practices.

Jump Start takes place in late August before the school year starts. If you register your new kindergartner for school you will be notified about the timing for jump start. For more information, check out the Seattle Public School’s Jump Start page.

Child Care

Do you need before or after school care or have a pre-k age child? MLK Elementary partners with Seed of Life to provide these services at the school. For more information about availability and rates contact Seed of Life at 206-726-6001 or [email protected].
