Would you like to be able to volunteer in the classroom, in the school, or on a field trip? You need to be registered through Seattle Public Schools. This involves completing a short online training and filling out a volunteer application form.

One-off Opportunities

Field Day

The school’s annual Field Days is being held on Friday, June 16. Volunteers are needed to support activity stations.

Regular Ongoing Opportunities

Safety Patrol

Volunteer before or after school to help kids and families get to school safely.

Recess Support

Volunteer during recess times to help chaperone.

After School Programs

Volunteer to help with the Read & Art afterschool program.

Room and Classroom Organization

Help to organize the school library, one of the classroom libraries, or another instructional room.

PTA Volunteer Opportunities

Move-a-Thon

Help support the annual Move-a-Thon, the primary fundraiser for the PTA’s activities.

Teacher & Staff Support Activities

Help to support monthly teacher appreciation breakfasts.

Technical & Social Media Support

Help with website maintenance, newsletter development, or supporting the PTA social media accounts.

Family Engagement Activities

Volunteer to support outreach and engagement activities for the MLK school community.
